About us
All friends of the breed and such, this one perhaps still become it, we want to introduce us and our Papillons.
We, Anette and Harri Hänel, are living in Königswalde that belongs to the county town Werdau, conveniently near the federal street B 175 between the cities of Werdau and Zwickau in the federal state Saxony.
Harri usually works independently at home in his computer service and therefore looks after the dogs during the day, too while Anette works as county archivist in the public service. We love the strong contrast between our work and the very intensive hobby owning dogs.
1989 we had decided on the owning dogs and went on the search for an a little rarer breed. We wanted to have a pretty little dog with white hair and a kind and attentive nature. After we saw a Papillon on a advertising dog show, we knew that we had found the breed we looked for.
We bought the Papillon male Eiko vom Maxim in September 1989. It was love at first sight, to this dog and to the breed. Our Eiko was extremely intelligent and we don't have yet again within the whole years despite quite a number of contacts to Papillon got to know a so self-confident dog (in the true sense of the word). Eiko lived conditionally by numerous illnesses only till January 1999.
1994 we decided in favour of a second dog, Honky von Taischan. Honky is a typical family dog. All other dogs love and respect him as their Grandfather Honky.
Our males Tiziano’s Richard Lionheart and Tiziano’s Toscanini lives since 1999 and 2002 with us. 2001 we started to show Richard and also sometimes since 2003 we show Toscanini, their successes have to be looked up on the pages dedicated to them.
After a longer search we found our first female Ashlee Dream Queen vom Cavalierchen which came in the age of 3 months to us in September 2004. Ashlee developed splendidly and during her first show season 2005 she was very successful, more than we expected.
Our dogs live in the house as full members of the family and may also be participate in everything as well as of course also use the little garden for playing substantially. Our dogs are our kindest hobby in the meantime and use the largest portion of our leisure time therefore.
Since 2003 / 2005 we are both members of the German Toy Association. In autumn 2003 we decided also to breed Papillons in future, and founded the Papillon kennel "Shir Del’s".
The kennel name dates from Afghanistan. "Shir-Del" is therefore said "lionheart".
The reference to this name befits by our male Richard Lionheart which we of course also want to use in the breed.
Simultaneous shall be this name symbol for the breed Papillon.
These dogs are numerous actually often intrepid little fighters this with a brave and great heart, which also makes them very lovable and affectionate.
In the meantime we made different experiences on more as 50 dog shows. We have in Germany and abroad interesting seen and experienced and many friends won at this. We want to contribute to a preservation corresponding to the breed standard and healthy development of the breed Papillon with our dogs furthermore, too.
